Why you should take this course: The skills students will learn in Speech and Debate will go far beyond the topics covered in the course. Communication is a key part in many areas of life, such as the workplace, and debate focuses on honing those skills in addition to argumentative technique. Learning how to argue efficiently and skillfully will also improve one’s logical thinking ability and problem solving skills.
